FIRST POP UP PUB EVENT GREAT SUCCESS

‘Over 100 people enjoyed the sunshine at the STRAP Pop up Pub at Fairycroft House on Saturday

The Saffron Walden Community Pub Ltd Community Benefit Society was formally registered withe the FCA earlier in the week and people came out to celebrate.

Tasty and refreshing beers were on sale along with locally produced cider, prosecco and wines, along with Pimms and a range of bottled craft beers, soft drinks and mixers; all of which went down a storm as the punters looked for a little light refreshment on a very warm day in Saffron Walden.

The skilfully barbecued (see below) gourmet burgers and sausages were eagerly taken up, and the veggie options didn’t do badly either, all helping with the proceeds.

With some great live acoustic music, traditional pub games, a pleasant outdoor area and plenty to talk about, it really was a Great Get Together, which aptly formed part of a weekend of celebrations inspired by the Jo Cox Foundation.

Now is the time to send us your ideas about what you would like to see if the Railway Arms pub… fill in a questionnaire and give us your views.
