This is the last time you’ll be hearing from me on these updates as other members of the committee will be taking up the mantel over the coming weeks.
Firstly – Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
We are astonished by the wave of support for our newly opened pub and you turned up in your droves over last weekend. The good weather certainly helped, but nevertheless we remain humbled by your enthusiasm.
This coming weekend is looking to be just as popular as the last, with Friday and Saturday evening’s now fully booked. There are still slots available earlier on Saturday and anytime on Sunday, if you’d like to book then please e-mail bookings@strap.co.uk
We have had fantastic feedback for our table ordering software and despite the downtime on Saturday caused by EE’s mast in the SW area it was widely used. We would ask that you order using this software via your mobile phone wherever possible as it makes service much, much easier for our volunteers and thus speeds up the service to you.
There will be small amendments to our menu this week – Chairman Dave has bemoaned the lack of veggie options on offer and we plan to expand our range a little. There will be a couple of different cask ales on offer too.
We are very mindful of our neighbours in the area and we may be making some small changes to reduce noise a little, we respectfully ask you to keep noise to a minimum – especially in the later hours after 9.00pm.
On Sunday we will have Green Pear Eco visit us from 1-3 who offer plastic-free products which very much fits in with our environmental friendly goals. Please pay them a visit if you can.
Lastly I can report that we are now in advance stages of appointing a Pub Manager to look after our pub and we hope to have further news on that very soon. We are interested in talking to anyone who would like to apply for Bar & Table waiting jobs at the pub – if you would like to enquire or apply then please contact us here
